![]() Jerry D. French, 79, of Flemington, WV, passed away on April 25, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born in Bluefield, WV on August 5, 1945, a son of the late Douglas and Nannie Louise Poe French. Jerry married his wife of 41 years, Edith Kay "Katie" Tucker French, on July 6, 1983. She survives at their home in Flemington. In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by two sons, Parrish French and wife Sherry of Teays Valley and Travis French and wife Lisa of Sardis; one daughter, Annette Hayes of Clarksburg; one stepson, Billy Dunn and wife Peach of Spelter; one stepdaughter, Kelly Knight of St. Albans; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many close friends, especially his Elks Club family. Jerry was a 1963 graduate of Washington Irving High School. He worked in construction for most of his life, retiring from AAMC Construction as a project manager and estimator. He later was a manager for Village Square Enterprises. In his free time, Jerry loved attending NASCAR races and boating with his wife and friends. He was a member of Mannington Elks Lodge No. 388 and was proud to be a Past State President for the West Virginia Elks Association. In keeping with his wishes, Jerry will be cremated. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family HERE.. An Elks Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Morgantown Elks Lodge #411.
