Passing of Clyde Richard Shook

​Clyde Richard Shook
August 10, 1934 -July 15, 2022
 
Clyde Richard Shook, 87, formerly of Wheeling, recently of Hilliard, OH, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022. He was born August 10, 1934, in Marshall County, WV; son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Miller) Shook.
He was a life-time member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church, where he was a charter member of the Men's Association and was retired after 40 years with Wheeling Power (AEP). He was a32nd Degree Mason and Past Master with Wheeling Lodge #5 as well as the Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Eagles #344, life member of the B. P. O. Elks Lodge #28 of Wheeling, Wildlife League, Wheeling Civitan Club, Chamber of Commerce, Moundsville Country Club and a20 year member of the Wheeling Recreation Commission.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jane (Marple) Shook; siblings Leota (Shook) Dawson McMahon, Grace Davis, Joan Danehart, Cathy Shook, Carolyn Shook, Lee Shook, Joseph Shook and Charles Shook.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara "Barb" E Thornton (Tom) of Hilliard, OH; Son, Richard "Rick" J Shook (Kathy) of Wheeling WV; grandchildren, Matthew "Matt" T Thornton (Jessica), Michael "Mike" W Thornton (Donny), Kaitlin "Kate" V Tuttle (Sean),Jedidiah "Jed" Z Shook (fiancée Alexandria Glotfelty); great grandchildren, James T and Caroline J Thornton and Cody A Demorest; and siblings Jean Merwin, Bessie Woodall, Glen Shook, and Bruce Shook.
